The water is not completely clear because of the glass and it makes it look unknown. The way her head is turned makes it look like she is trying to see something. I didn’t want the seal that was swimming around to be in the picture because I feel like that would have made the picture look more touristy and typical.
I like the effect that I put on this photo took out selective color. I really think that it turned out well. It gave the record shop a more vintage older look. I also like that the records on the back wall stayed in color because I think that it draws to the depth of the store, making it seem larger.
I like this because she looks like she is curious about the structure of the statue. I also really liked how the statue was made, it had a really great cuvry shape to it. I also love the way that is was taken right by the lake and so close to the heart of downtown. I love that even around such a modern city there is art and nature.
This is a picture I took while camping in southern Illinois. I added a filter to give it a more dramatic effect. It is completely different from the picture that I started with. The filter made the picture look very eerie and strange. It looks like a storm is approaching in this picture, even though it was sunny out when this was taken.
This is a barn that was in southern Illinois. What I like the most about this picture is how the sky looks. The clouds are very detailed and look fake to me. I especially like the jet lines in the sky. I named this photo ‘What Suffocates the Land’, the title is from the song ‘The Naming of Things’ by Andrew Bird. In liked that quote because there are so many places with old abandoned things that suffer neglect. They are neglected because the way the world is advancing leaving old methods behind.
